BERKELEY SPRINGS PICKLEBALL · 4 COURTS
About
This document is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Morgan County Parks and Recreation Board in January 2024 soliciting design-build contractors to establish pickleball courts and a racquet practice area at David Henry Memorial Park in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. The project involves converting existing tennis courts into 3 regulation pickleball courts and constructing 1 separate racquet practice area with a hitting wall and dual striping for pickleball play with a portable net. Work includes surface preparation (pressure washing, crack repair), resurfacing with green pigmented acrylic coating, installation of regulation pickleball nets and posts per ASBA specifications, hand-painted regulation playing lines, and construction of a hitting wall. The project targets Spring 2024 completion. This is not an operational facility document but rather a construction procurement document. Interested contractors were required to submit proposals by February 14, 2024 to morganparksandrec@gmail.com or by hardcopy to Dawn Beal at 77 Fairfax Street, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
