Calverton-Galway Local Park is a 61.2-acre public park operated by Montgomery Parks (M-NCPPC) in Fairland, Maryland. The park features 4 pickleball courts marked on 2 tennis courts, along with baseball, cricket, softball fields, a playground, and picnic areas with shelters and grills. The park opened in 1980 and is adjacent to the historic Lee Family Cemetery, commemorating the burial ground of freed slaves and early African American property owners. The park operates from sunrise to sunset. Picnic shelter rentals are available seasonally (April through October) on a first-come, first-served basis through ActiveMontgomery online or by phone. Pickleball courts are available for open play.
