About

Looking for a great spot to play pickleball near Gary? Youre in luck! Purdue Northwest University has you covered with some well-maintained tennis courts that are open to the public. The PNW Tennis Complex opened in spring 2016. Its part of the newly built Dowling Park. Youll find six courts with artificial surfaces, perfect for a good game of pickleball. Want to bring some friends to watch? No problem! Theres bleacher seating for 90 fans. You can cheer each other on or take turns playing. Worried about parking? Dont be. Theres a main parking lot for Dowling Park and the tennis complex. You can find it just off 175th Street. While the complex was built for tennis, many pickleball players have found it works great for their sport too. The smooth surface and well-kept courts make for an enjoyable game. Remember to bring your own equipment. And its always a good idea to check with the university about any specific rules or times for public use.
