City of Irvine contract instructors teach junior, adult and private pickleball lessons at Portola Springs Community Park. Pickleball court reservations are available at Courts #5 and #6. Residents may book up to five days in advance, while non-residents may book three days in advance. Reservations can be made in one or two hour increments. Courts can be used for drop-in play if there is no reservation or if a reservation no-shows. Irvine Team Pickleball (ITP) League, a socially competitive and recreational pickleball league, operates at this location. Eight teams face off in a 7-week Round Robin and 3-week single-elimination playoffs with match format of 3 men's doubles, 3 women's doubles, and 3 mixed doubles games to 11, win-by-1. ITP is a self-rated level 3.5 league. Maximum of 8 people per team with minimum of 2 men and 2 women. Cost is $490 per team per season.
