DINK SHOTS

About

Dink Shots is set to open Saturday in Jackson Township. The nearly 10,000-square-foot facility will offer four full-size pickleball courts, a meeting area with a kitchenette and restaurant-style seating for 24 people, a lounge with big-screen TVs, and a pro shop. Owner Mike Oliveri is excited to bring another indoor sports concept to life. He is the co-owner of Velocity Sports in Jackson Township and Canal Fulton. The sports training facilities offer baseball, softball, and other sports programs and provide an indoor training facility for local teams. Oliveri affectionately refers to his new business as the "Pickle Palace." Dink Shots will be available to players 24/7. Memberships and open play will be available. Members will pay $15 per hour to rent a court and can bring up to three people. Court rentals will be scheduled online. The facility will not be staffed full time. Players who reserve court time will receive a code shortly before the reserved time to enter the secured building. Non-members can rent the court for $30 per hour. Open play will be from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday through Saturday. Players do not have to pre-register. Non-member play will be $10 for the four-hour time frame, basic members will pay $5 and open play will be free for premium members. The pro shop will be open during open play. Guests can enjoy a complimentary coffee bar while relaxing in the lounge area and watching TV. The facility is available for rental for birthday parties, team-building events and other events. In time, he plans to house tournaments and league play, as well as offer lessons. Children up to seniors love to play this sport and here in Ohio summers can be brutal and then there is the winter weather. Whether it's hot, it's raining or the humidity is high, it will always be a nice 70 to 72 degrees in Dink Shots.
