Boone Park is a public recreational facility located in the Avondale area of Jacksonville, Florida. Originally established in 1926 when the City purchased the property from William Elijah Boone and others, the park has evolved into a comprehensive community recreation destination. The park features a full tennis complex with 14 clay lighted courts and 2 hard lighted courts, plus 4 pickleball courts added in 2022. Beyond pickleball, the facility offers diverse recreational opportunities including baseball, basketball, soccer, football, a skate park, splash pad, and swimming pool. Additional amenities include playground equipment, hiking and bike trails, picnic areas with shelters and grills, fitness equipment, and comprehensive facilities such as restrooms, drinking fountains, and ample parking with 117 car spaces. The park underwent major renovations between 1997 and 2003 and continues to be enhanced for public use.
