About
Mountain Creek Park is a 606-acre regional destination located on the northwestern tip of Lake Norman in Sherrills Ford, NC. The park features four pickleball courts available for free, first come, first served play. Players should bring their own equipment. Court rules include rotation limits (one game to 11 points, win by 2) when other players are waiting, no glass containers or food on courts, and no profit-based use without county permission. In addition to pickleball, the park offers an extensive 19.52-mile multi-use trail network for hiking and mountain biking, a pump track and bike skills course, an adventure playground, dog park, fishing pier, canoe/kayak launch, outdoor classroom, and nature observation areas. The park is staffed with a nature center, offers guided interpretive tours for groups, and sponsors periodic educational events. Picnic shelters and an indoor meeting room are available for reservation.
