ABBOTSFORD PICKLEBALL ASSOCIATION (APA) - AG-REC CENTRE
About
Abbotsford Pickleball Association (APA) is a community-focused organization operating 12 indoor courts at the Ag-Rec Centre in Exhibition Park as of September 2023. The facility offers comprehensive programming ranging from beginner lessons and orientations to competitive DUPR play, ladder leagues, and recreational open play sessions suitable for all skill levels. APA membership ($40-$42/year) provides access to the association's organizational structure and events; additional session fees cover facility rental costs. The association emphasizes affordable, accessible pickleball with skill-appropriate grouping, social integration, and competitive opportunities. Key offerings include themed sessions like 'Fabulous Friday' for beginners, mixer tournaments, women's and men's ladder leagues, skills clinics, and the popular 'Book Your Own Court' service for private group play. All members must register with Pickleball Canada and Pickleball BC. The facility currently has more daytime court availability than evening slots, with expansion of nighttime programming anticipated for 2024-2025.
