THAKKAR TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL CENTER
About
Thakkar Tennis and Pickleball Center is Sebring's premier tennis and pickleball facility, established in 1983 and located within the Country Club of Sebring. The facility features six lighted clay tennis courts (the only ones in Highlands County) and eight newly constructed pickleball courts. The center operates as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and hosts the Highlands County Tennis Association, a USTA Community Affiliate. USPTA-certified pro Horace Watkis provides personalized coaching for all skill levels, including private, semi-private, and group lessons. The facility hosts drop-in doubles, social tournaments, and competitive events for both sports with pay-as-you-go options for non-members. Additional amenities include a fully-equipped pro shop with racket stringing services, a large clubhouse available for member use or rental, clean restroom facilities with an observation deck, and covered picnic areas. The center is committed to supporting youth tennis and pickleball through scholarships and organized youth activities.
