HENRY SHAW MEMORIAL TENNIS COURTS
About
The Henry Shaw Memorial Tennis Courts, established in 1952 and renovated in 2017, are located in the heart of Tower Grove Park, the premier Victorian park in the country. The facility features nine hard-surface tennis courts and eight hard-surface pickleball courts open daily on a first-come, first-serve basis. Uniquely, Tower Grove Park also maintains three grass tennis courts—the only public grass courts in the nation according to the USTA—available for rental July through October. The courts operate on a seasonal schedule with free public hours Monday-Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. During other hours, a $5 daily admission fee or membership is required. The facility is managed by Vetta Sports, which offers year-round programming including group lessons for youth and adults in both tennis and pickleball. Off-season hours run 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with limited court access and no clubhouse amenities.
