About dink.one

We're building this in public.

dink.one is an early-stage startup out of Southwest Florida. We're a small team trying to build the tool we wish existed when we ran our own pickleball group - games, rankings, messaging, and a community pulse in one place. This page is the honest version of where we are.

What's real today

The app works. Games, RSVPs, d1R ratings, messaging, broadcasts, member directories - those are built. What we don't have yet is many real people in it. Almost every member and facility you might see in the dashboard today is seeded sample data, and we're wiping all of it the day we open signups for real. The only place you'll see populated dink.one before that is our read-only product preview - which we clearly label as fictional.

We've mapped a lot of pickleball courts - 59,652 across the world, 6,135 in Florida alone. That part is real data, and it stays on the public pages because it's useful even before anyone has signed up.

Who we're trying to help first

Southwest Florida group organizers. If you run a pickleball group on Facebook and you're tired of herding 40 people every Saturday morning across comment threads, screenshots, and group-chat scrolls, you're exactly who we're building for. We want to take the admin grind off your plate.

Outside SW Florida? You can still join the waitlist - we'll expand city by city, and the waitlist helps us figure out where to go next.

Founding 500

Be one of the first 500 members.

The first 500 people who sign up as real members get a permanent Founding 500 badge on their profile. It's a marker of being here from day one - nothing more, nothing less. No hidden tier, no trial period ending.

We'll flip the live counter on when real members cross 50. Until then, the number stays off - it doesn't help anyone to show 3 of 500 on day one.

What we're not

  • Not a social media app for pickleball. We're a group-management tool with a member app attached.
  • Not a competition platform. Tournament formats work, but that's not our wedge.
  • Not a DUPR replacement. d1R is our own rating, transparent to the calculation. You can keep your DUPR.
  • Not open yet. We're building. You're early. That's the deal.

Talk to us

If you run a pickleball group and want to see a live demo, let's talk. If you're a member in SW Florida and want in, join here. If you're anywhere else, the waitlist keeps you in the loop.
