Approve or decline a refund
How money comes back out, and why only you can release it.
Works today
Refunds are requested by the person who paid and released by you. There's no path where money leaves without a decision from the league manager.
The flow
- The member files a request from their registration.
- You get a preview showing what your published policy says should happen.
- Approve or decline. You can approve an amount that differs from the preview if the circumstances warrant it.
- On approval the refund goes back through Stripe to the original card.
Common questions
The captain is asking me to refund a member.
Ask the member to file the request. It has to come from whoever paid, so the money goes back where it came from.
Can I refund part of it?
Yes. Approve the amount you intend rather than the full figure.
They already played several weeks.
That's exactly what the policy preview is for — it prorates according to what you published. You can still override it.
