When a team stops playing
Suspend, withdraw, reinstate or replace a team without breaking the table.
Teams fall apart mid-season. The console has explicit actions for it so you're never left deleting rows and hoping the standings recover.
The five actions
- Suspend — temporarily out, expected back.
- Withdraw — out for good.
- Reinstate — bring a suspended or withdrawn team back.
- Replace — a new team takes over the remaining fixtures.
- Extend — give a team more time to complete something.
Results already played stay. The standings account for the team's status rather than leaving a hole where it used to be, so the table still reads correctly to someone who wasn't there.
Doing it
- Open the league console, then Teams.
- Pick the team.
- Choose the action that matches what actually happened.
- Confirm. The captain and the affected opponents are notified.
Common questions
A team withdraws with four weeks left.
Withdraw them. Their remaining fixtures come off the schedule and the standings adjust. If you have a waiting team, use replace instead so the fixtures survive.
What happens to results they already played?
They stand. Deleting played matches would change other teams' records for something they had no part in.
One player is out, not the team.
That's a roster change, not a lifecycle action. The captain can substitute, or you can from the roster controls.
