Respond to a request
Approve, decline or counter — and what each does to the student's card.
Works today
Requests land in your inbox with the time, the student and what they want to work on. You have a day to answer.
Answering one
- Open your requests inbox.
- Read what they asked for. You can see their record, which usually tells you more than the message does.
- Approve, decline, or counter with a different price or time.
- On approval the session is confirmed and the payment is taken. That is the moment you are actually paid.
What countering does
- Counter lower and only that smaller amount is taken. Nothing else changes.
- Counter higher and the student has to agree again. We cannot take more than they authorized, by design.
- Counter with a different time if the slot no longer works. They accept or decline.
Common questions
I missed the 24 hours.
The hold is released and the student is charged nothing. Message them — most will re-request if you explain.
They cancelled before I answered.
Nothing was taken, so nothing is owed either way.
I need to know more before deciding.
Message them. The clock keeps running, so ask early rather than the hour before it lapses.
